I went to visit my mom this past weekend with the boys. {not an easy task since my moms house looks like Colonial Williamsburg threw up in it...everything is breakable...e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.!!!} Now, I cannot remember why we went out to my mom's shed, but we did...and leaping lizards did I find some treasures!! I'm going to go ahead and call my mom and borderline hoarder...{yes, I will have a hay day when she dies...yes, I told her that...} the good thing is, she hoards nice stuff, antique stuff, stuff with POTENTIAL...like this lantern!!
** in true Melissa fashion, I was far too impatient to take a "before" shot of what this thing looked like after I dug it out of the deep dark depths of my mom's shed and stole...made my mom give it too me...asked my mom to let me have it then ran it to my car before she could change her mind. Here is a quick description...dirty, gray, covered in cobwebs and bugs...I almost weeped**
Sooo, out came the black spray paint and some twine and TA DA!!!
The problem now it that I made this with full intentions of putting it on top of my entertainment center...and it's too tall!! So, it's going to sit on my dining room table until I decide where to put it....
